Its worked for me on a regular basis... I often wind up 70-100KM out from the Midway/Cerberus and like to autoslide home... god bless the toggle key, saves me a lot of grief when i dont have a perfectly calibrated joystick.
I actually remember it *not* working that well in WC4, but that might just be me... autoslide good for very little but getting ass kicked or tailchases when getting overswarmed in your Excal but it makes you far too open to missiles.
