Colonel David Marland?

Eraser

Spaceman
I was just wondering about the following:

Just now I stumbled upon this French website which lists the WC IV: The Price of Freedom cast. Nothing special at first I thought, but then I saw the following:

Colonel David "Seether" Marland
Robert Rusler

Are they just making that up? I thought Seether's real name was never officially known. And the rank... well, he did have a Colonel's rank insignia when wearing his Confed uniform aboard the Lexington, so I guess that checks out. So, can anyone clarify this for me?

The link can be found here: http://tcs.cerberus.chez-alice.fr/wc4cast.html

The rest of the site you can see here: http://tcs.cerberus.chez-alice.fr/Main.htm

the name is made up as is the name. the rank thou would be roughly right but then i can be wrong

Colonel is the correct rank, based on the insignia he's wearing in Wing Commander IV.

The novel suggests that Seether is his name rather than his callsign.

It sounds like you guys are just making up names for him. What if he has a reallly long name and seether is just the initials put together?

Seether is Bohemian, and is the distant, distant future relative of Orlando Bloom.

Speaking of which, is there a rule for which name should be on the uniform, the real name or the callsign?

Jaeger...they are spelling Christopher Blair backwards...as well as the colonel rank backwards. Pay attention.

To explain, the joke is because Seether wears the same set of ribbons as Blair... but in the reverse order.
