CDR Gold Plate? (July 2, 1999)

Chris Reid mailed the people selling bootleg Wing Commander VCDs over at VCD Paradise on the issue of whether or not the movie was in stock. They say that all they have is it in "CDR gold plate." Anyone know what this means?
