Capship takeover

Lt.Overload

Rear Admiral
Considering I only have WCP, SO, and GBA WCP, I don't know much about before the Nephilim War. In any other WCs, did the Kilrathi ever takeover a Confed Capship?

They captured ships I'm sure on more than a few occasions. The Exeter McGruff mentioned, a civilian ship on Fawcett's World before the war are the two that jump right out at me.

The bigger question is though how are you going to remedy missing the other games? You can pick most of the others for fairly cheap.

I really wanted see WC3......but that's not that point.

Seriously, it would love a storyline with the Nephilim taking a new classified Capship.

That doesn't seem like it would be in their style. They want to destroy us. No ifs, ands, or buts. They don't seem like the type to take the time to capture ships for use against us. They want to come in guns blazing and just blow us to hell. They don't seem to be concerned with losses every because look how many Capships (carriers and cruisers in particular) we destroy in WCP/SO.

Except that they are for some reason fascinated with Blair and release him after capturing him and playing their games, so there has to be something more to their strategy than to just charge in shooting.

Unless I missed something in WCP (I swear I must have) we never saw what happened while Blair was their captive, other than knowing that he was tortured.

I think the idea was to leave it to the player's imagination by just letting it be known that it was 'bad'.

they captured the Kilrathi starbase in T'lan Meth as well, they couldve just destroyed it easily instead, but IIRC they're also studying us, Blair says that the Nephilim are fascinated by us, our ability to kill without remorse.

I never got that bit about killing without remorse... isn't that exactly what they were doing?

Perhaps they actually had massive remorse. We never see things through THEIR eyes, precisely; maybe the guiding intelligences behind the Nephilim felt great remorse at obliterating intelligent life...?

I always figured thats exactly why they were interested. Kindred minds. There have been references to an 'Aligned People' maybe they are looking for new blood to enter the fold.

Ooooh, that's an interesting idea, I never thought of that.

While that does not apply to ships (though Dula 7 was already mentioned), they do seem to be rather fond of taking prisoners.

Yeah, but that was after initial contact. We don't know if that continues or not. Perhaps they were at first capturing prisoners for research/intel before moving on.

Maybe there's some kind of wierd thing between the Steltek and the Nephilim. Like a war that happened millenia ago and it just so happens that the Steltek won and the Nephilim lost. the Steltek moved away and the Nephilim got ejected away. Silly theory but hey ya never know.... ~~~

I think it is probably some kind of relationship like that. Perhaps the Steltek discovered a path to "fluid space" and in so doing ignited a war between the two.

I think the Nephilim/Steltek relationship is something like this:

Random Nephilim: "Hey, mother creature, look what I just found!"
Mother Creature: "Yay, ancient alien super weapons, go conquer the galaxy and see if you can find some more!"
Random Nephilim: "Okay."

I don't know. My first thought was that it was something along the lines of B5 and the First Ones. Vorlons and Shadows, without the education parts.
