Can't get high res patch to work for WCP...

When I download HC1's Mltiplayer Patch and high res patch in one, I follow the instructions and copy the tre files as supposed to to th patch directory. then run install.exe and select the resolution I want, and after I hit Install it errors out and closes. I am running Vista. Probably that is why and compatiobility modes are not working to fix it.
 
THe installer only works in XP.

But of course if I install the game in XP and attempt to run it in Vista it won't work.
 
Hmm. I'm not sure how to get around this. You should come by #wingnut or try the tech forum as well.
