Behemoth Crew Compliment?

Seventh Part of the Seal
I know no one probably knows this for sure, but i was wondering about educated guesses. If you fly around the thing, you notice that only the small module on the back above the engines has windows... also it is connected by metal rods like the ones on the transports... is that the only area that holds crew?

I think that's the intention - the rest of the thing is a giant gun barrel. I think it's supposed to have a very minimal crew - note that requesting status gets you a computerized voice in response.

"Well, what would you aim for if you had the biggest gun in the Universe?"

Interesting how Tolwyn chose not to command the Behemoth so he could 'pull the trigger' himself and destroy Kilrah...

Potentially the greatest quote of the entire game.

Knowing the character, then I would say he was going to. I'd assume the main concern would be security, it was, afterall, still the Kilrathi homeworld they were going to destroy and you'd think a homeworld would have significant defences.

Cheers,

Red Coat.

You dont get a computerized responce... at least i dont think so, not in the PS version. "No damage yet Colonel." A guy with a british accent and there was a little emotion in the voice... so i dont think it was, though i could be wrong.

If that's the case then it's probably the PS version reusing one of the Victory's escort's status comms (which was Chris Roberts' WC3 cameo.)

I may be wrong...but I think I remember the guy with the british accent replying "No Damage yet colonel" from the behemoth in the PC version also.
I don't want to reinstall WC3 to check this though... (It's the PC version from Australia BTW if that makes any diff)

Oh definitely, though, "What price freedom, Admiral?" still sends tingles down my spine more than anything else.

Hehe, it would make for quite a comical scene, wouldn't it? The Victory and Behemoth fight their way to Kilrah and the Captain of the Behemoth lines up for his shot... and Tolwyn's like, "Wait! Wait! I wanna do it!" :)

I mean more for WC3, but for WC4, that and:

"The Price of Freedom is Eternal Vigilance" when said by Tolwyn...those are my favourites.

Yes, over in Australia, the version has an English-accented bloke responding.

And in the subsequent bickering, Thrakath flies past and blows up the ship. Everybody wins! :p

Although Tolwyn was my favourite character of the games.

... which happens to be my Live Messenger display name at the moment, hehe. :)

Another of my favourites from WC3 would be Maniac whispering, "women like the smell of success" or the end of that scene:

Maniac: We both know who's better in the cockpit.
Blair: Yeah... we do.

Although Tolwyn was my favourite character of the games.

I adored Blair and Tolwyn as a duo. Their scenes together were pure fried gold, with only Blair/Maniac scenes coming close for entertainment value.

The Maniac-Blair scenes in WC4 are priceless.

"Guess you won't have to worry about that confed promotion that finally came through..."
"MY PROMOtion! Confed......"

On the other side of the coin, we have "that was the move of a true master". :p

On the gripping hand, though, "there's a lower asshole tolerance around here" is such a useful phrase for the real world...
