Bad News For The British And French (February 11, 2007)

Mr. Kat
It looks like the wait has gotten a little longer for European Wing Commander fans who are planning to pick up EA Replay. The release dates listed at both Amazon and the EA Press site have changed from February 23 to March 16 for the UK and March 15 in France. No other information has changed, and Germany still seems to be on track for a February 22 launch at this time. If it makes it, that would rule out localization problems. Whatever happens, it will undoubtably be worth the wait.

Hi there,

I live in the UK and after seeing your release that EA Replay was on the way I too looked it up on Amazon.co.uk and saw that our release date was ages away. This was frustrating when I realised that US version had shipped!

However, after a little research it became clear that the UK/France versions were being produced but just not distributed. After a little looking I found a shop on eBay UK that was shipping the units in and selling them at £16.99! (Compared to £29.99 on Amazon!)

The seller had a good rating and when the item arrived (very speedily) it was clear that it was genuine as it arrived with the UK manual bundled and the French manual seperate also.

Might be worth a look - the eBay shop is called Xbite Games, delivery is next day and well priced. At time of writing they are in stock. Buy it, even just to hear that opening theme.....

Hope this helps,

Paul

Is there anything UK specific on the packaging or in the manual? They might just be importing the Canadian version and reselling it.
