Well I for one feel bad for Chekov... did his son do any acting or anything as such?

According to W. Koenig's Website (see link above), Andrew was an actor, director, writer, producer, editor and an activist.

He was the guy who played the character "Boner" in "Growing Pains" yes, I don't think his acting career ever got anywhere after that, just like all those sitcom "stars". (Last time a saw his "Growing Pains buddy" Kirk Cameron, he played "Chauncy" in the FMV videogame "The Horde" from Crystal Dynamics, 1994).
