Well, I'm now an A1C in the US Air Force. After I graduate techschool in June, I'm going to Ramstein AB in Germany.

I'm an Intel Analyst.

And now I can finally devote some time to Wing Commander again.

Maybe you guys could make posters of Bradleys, LAAVs, and AMTRACS and give them to pilots with the caption "Don't shoot these. They're the good guys."

Cool, so would you recommend I go with a P4 3.4/3.6 or one of the new Pentium D 3.0/3.2s?

Anyhow, congratulations and all.

Congratulations! Good to hear from you again, hopefully we'll hear more as time goes by.

Haha Congrats, I just enlisted in the Navy, I ship out next month for Basic. Going into Avaition Electronics/Electrical Technition. I'm goin in as an E2, Seamen Aprentace, by the time i get out of "A" School I'll make E3, Seaman, then 6months later I'll be able to take the test for E4, 3rd class Petty Officer. I cant wait.

I tried to go Air Force originaly, was gonna opperate the Coms gear on E-3s, but I have two Metal plates in my Right arm from when I broke it my Freshman year. Submitted copies of all my medical records from the surgery, even went to a local Doctor out here who took X-Rays, and wrote a letter saying its fine, healed up perfectly, no restrictions, but they came back 2 weeks later and said, "Permanatly Disqualified due to Retained hardware,"

Well, I could ask my brother in law, as he works for Intel. :p

Heh, I'm headed for AF intel too pretty soon. It's like no one wants to scrub toilets anymore.

1N0, or another AFSC?

And yeah, the USAF is pretty anal about old broken bones. I'm still kinda surprised they let me in, since I broke my right arm above the wrist in February last year.

Good luck with the Navy, Pattyman. Should be a good experience. I figure I'll make E-4, Senior Airman, in October of '07. It's automatic, so long as you're a good airman.

Yea they would have if it had just been a broken bone, but I actually have two metal plates on both bones of my lower arm.

so if you have any metal in you, no go. Pathetic.
Well it depends on where its at, As the Requirter put it it was because an arm is a load bearing part of the body, where as if it had been like on a rib bone, ot the face/head it would have been fine.

WooHoo! Alright Porthos. We were in Ramstein for two tours. Eight years. I Love Germany. Don’t forget to go on the Volksmarches. (I probably spelled that wrong.)

I like 1N0 so far, but I just got into block 3, which is where we're supposed to get hammered with information to memorize.

1N0 is a lot of briefing, intel analysis, targeting, mission planning, etc. You name it, we probably do it.

1N1 is very focused. You produce imagery intelligence. You give briefs as well, just not as many, and it's a very different focus, i.e., "this is what this image contains, this is what this building is made of, etc. etc." 1N0 is "this is what this building is made of, so a (insert name of bomb here) is what we need to destroy/disable/etc it"

Overly simplified, though. ;)

Day one of basic should drive all thoughts of tech school out of your brain. You'll have other things to think about, like "how in the heck do I eat a full meal in 5 minutes!?" (not that hard)

You got five minutes !?
"Just shovel and chew on the way to the trash point!!!!"
Never even got a chance to sit down . If I had a nickle for
ever time I heard a DI say that , well I could buy a soda .

Hmm, yeah, I would much rather be on the decision making side of things. Big decision, but I've still got a couple months to make it in.

You're actually getting to choose your job? You going guard/reserve or something?
