At what age could a person enlist in the Confed Navy, and for how many years did they actually spend in the Academy before graduating and serving an assignment aboard a ship?
 
In my opinion, a 18-19 year old man or woman can join the Navy as "enlisted"...

Those who want to become officers (especially pilots) have to spend 3-4 years in the Academy... Maniac was 23 when he joined the Claw's crew...
