A few questions

Hi, I'm new here, and have a few questions:

1: How long is a Cat Dreadnought?

2: Is the Concordia in Wing Commander MOvie the same as the Concordia from Fleet Action?

3: How many fighters can a Coventry destroyer carry? A Tallahassee Crsr.? A Murphy Destroyer? A Plunkett Crsr.?

Yay! I get to do this one! ^_^

1. 22 klicks, i.e. REALLY big. :)

2. No, it's a battlecruiser by the same name, while TCS CONCORDIA CVS-65 is a carrier\dreadnought. Confed seems to enjoy re-using the same name over and over and over...

3. Have to defer to LOAF on this one (damn), however, the CIC tech notes says the Tallahasee- and Murphey-class carry a light fighter complement, maybe a squadron or two.

Plunkett has 15 fighters on it, the others dont ever have it stated how many as far as i know, and i dont know what a Coventry class cruiser is.

2. I believe the Concordia from Fleet Action is the same model carrier as the Lexington from WC4. There are three Concordias I am aware of:
- Confederation-class dreadnought Concordia from WC2
- Concordia-class carriers (eg Lexington from WC4)
- Concordia supercruisers from WCM

3. There is no known designation for the destroyer class from WC3. [The Victory's escorts were the Sheffield and the Coventry, plus a Tallahasse-class cruiser Ajax (isn't that a brand of kitchen cleaner?)] I don't believe that Kilrathi-war era destroyers and cruisers carry fighters, but both the Murphy and the Plunkett carry a small complement.

And the one of Action Stations, of course.

No, wait 'til B-Lo answers, but I'm sure he said that the AS Concordia carriers are the same ones we see in the games.

The Action Stations Concordia is the same as the Concordia class (Lexington, Princeton).

The WC3 destroyers carry four fighters -- the Tallahasee class ships carry some shuttles, but no fighters. The Plunkett carries 15, and the Murphy carries 8.

There are 3 connies as previously stated. But there is confusion as to which is which. The Connie from Action Stations is destroyed in action stations and is a Concordia Class Fleet Carrier. Then comes the Concordia class supercruiser a la the movie. Then finally there is CV-65 TCS COncordia confederation class dreadnought, this is the one in WC2 as well as End Run and Fleet Action, it is also the one which is crashed in the Minstral Sea on Vespus in the begining scene of WC3.

Hmm...when was the WC2 Connie commisioned? And what about the second one? I'd think that she'd be gone one way or another before the dreadnought showed up...

Useless Sidenote: I don't know about the destroyers...I guess they aren't given any offcial designation, but they're named after the Sheffield class of British destroyers (where the name ship and her sister, Coventry, went down during the Falklands war), so I guess if you absoulutly have to call them something, it's better to call them Sheffields.

Of course, you can do whatever the hell you like. :D

I would think that the Super cruiser was commisioned after the carrier was destroyed and likewise the Dreadnought was commissioned after the supercruiser was either destroyed, recommissioned, or decommissioned.

The cruiser would have to be either striken, destroyed, or scrapped (fat chance, what with the war and all). And do the battlecruisers (I refuse to call them supercruisers, for various reasons) have reloads for their torpedo tubes?

The WC2 Concorida as commissioned in 2661. In Fleet Action (2668) Tolwyn says he is proud of the seven years of service that the carrier had.

AS Concordia was commisioned in '34... and died in '34, too.

The Concordia supercruiser entered service in '45, and lasted through *at least* '56.

The Confederation class Concordia lasted from '61 to '69.
