    KIS Sivar and her technologies.

A thing I was wondering the other day was, basically, what were Sivar's objectives, aside from taking out Goddard? (Like anyu long-term goals.) Here's my problem with the Sivar: It's basically a flying target. As far as I know (I haven't again played SM1 in, well, forever) we don't really...

    Operation Thor's Hammer

Then why would Blair state that he destroyed the Gwenhyvar? I could of sworn that happen in SM1

    Operation Thor's Hammer

That's easy: It's a plot hole. Gwenhyvar was captured in 2552 according to WCSM1, in the Jotunheim system. Unless the Kilrathi raided a convoy that conviently had a shipment of Rapier-IIA's to a carrier, there is really no way possible that the Gwenhyvar could of aquired those fighters...

    Jalkhi?

*smacks Falcon* A): Angel's line simply doesn't match up with what we know about either the Raptor or the Jalthi. The Raptor is better in everything but target profile. And B): I don't have WC1 anymore, since oh, I lost it when I moved three years ago.

    Jalkhi?

Based off of what? The Raptor is faster, quite a bit more manueverable, has a more versitile gun loadout for dogfighting, and most definately has more missles. And unlike Jalthi, Raptor is at least durable. The only real advantage the Jalthi has against the Raptor is profile. Jalthi is...

    Jalkhi?

From a quality standpoint, the Jalthi is a piece of garbage. It's slow, unmanouverable, and it's shielding and armour are complete and utter garbage. Not Epee bad, but very sub-par for a heavy fighter. The only thing the Jalthi is good for is charging at the target and hoping that the...

    Epee Gripes.

Yes, it would. Because it's so-called armour is very little more than a thick coat of paint behind extremely weak shields.

    Hey, lets discuss WWII!

I forgot to mention that Renown-class only had 6 15-inch guns, not 8 like HMS Hood did. Fighting Steel? Have to look it up. The One on the background? It reminds me very much of the HMS Hermes, which was a british cruiser converted into a carrier. Uh, this ship: Thanks.

    Hey, lets discuss WWII!

Same here. WW2 naval history is quite intriging to me. Not really, save for the fact that both were Battlecruisers. The Renown-class, of which Repulse was the sister ship of, was much less armoured than the Admiral-class. (HMS Hood's armour actually wasn't much less than either KGV or...

    Hey, lets discuss WWII!

Correct. The King George V in Question was the Prince of Wales in Singapore, in 1941. It's not Hood, although it's a Battlecruiser. Specifically, it is the HMS Repulse, Renown-class Battlecruiser, while HMS Hood was a Admiral-class Battlecruiser.

    Take That, 1994 (October 5, 2007)

True, although I think Jazz being a traitor is the worst in the series, with Tolwyn and Hobbes trailing behind. Jazz betraying the Confederation simply makes no real sense once you think about it. So his brother dies at Goddard... and then blames the crew of the TCS Tiger's Claw because they...

    Pink Floyd.

In a minor attempt to get people to post here again(All signs point to: Pathetic), I guess i'll make a PF thread. I like the hell out of Pink Floyd. Dark Side of the Moon is an excellent album, with Brain damage/Eclipse being two great songs. Wish you were was a great follow-up. (Wish you...

    Hey, lets discuss WWII!

Oh, Japan was a dangerous foe, of course. The problem is how they went around conducting the war. As Yamamoto said, Japan was screwed more or less if they didn't win the war in the pacific in less than a year. Yeah, on retrospect, it wasn't such a good analogy.

    Worst Fighter in the game

I really did hate the Hornet. Weak armour, weak Shielding, and a pair of weak ass guns. Ferret and Epee were great improvements over that turd.

    Hey, lets discuss WWII!

If the example fits, I will use it. You don't like it, then, that is your problem, not mine. True, it's fairly silly, yet it also works as a basic analogy.(Although obviously the Situations between the two are different.) Depends really on the definition ition of winning. Unlike what...

    Hey, lets discuss WWII!

Way to distort my point there. Just because Yamato has the same amount of turrets doesn't mean it's equal to, say, the Iowa. Hell, by this logic, the King George V Battleship was the worst warship of all time because it only had two goddamned turrets No duh, that wasn't my point. See...

    Hey, lets discuss WWII!

You'd have a point... if the Nazi atomic programme didn't actually turn out to be one of the Great Secret Comedies of WWII. Hitler was literaly stupid enough to think that a single Nuke could set the entire world's atmosphere on fire. To be fair to him, Japan's best shot was Pearl Harbour...
