Yes I do have the Win 95 patch installed. The spaceflight is just way too fast and things happen before I have time to react. All display options are at maximum. Within five seconds of entering combat I usually either hear my wingman ejecting or my ship is destroyed. Its that fast.

Hey guys, I got WC4 to work in Win XP but now my problem is that my computer is too fast. I have a P4 2.8. I know that I could run the game in dosbox but that brings up a host of more problems. My question is is there a way to just slow down the overall processor speed while I play the game.

Okay, I got past that problem but now whenever I try to go to the briefing room the game just freezes in dosbox. The sound still doesn't work. I realize I'm asking alot of you guys but I just wanted to see if anyone is having the same problem. I would love to finally play sm2.

No it won't work if I try to play it from the CD, I copied all the files to my hard drive. The only other executable file on the CD doesn't work either.

Its not like the wc2 CD, the installer for wc1 is primitive. Its asking "Please insert Wing Commander disk 1 into drive a:" and nothing I do will get it past that point.
