    Quite frankly, my opinion depends on the definition of particle. If you mean charged Particle (i.e. Energy) weaponry, I would have to say the Tachyon Weapons from the Excalibur.. if you mean particle as in physical particle of something, I would have to say Mass Drivers in all their forms

    Personally, as far as WC1, my favorite ship was the Scimitar, believe it or not. Didn't handle near as bad as Iceman lets on, and with it's mass drivers at full charge, I could get behind a Jalthi or even a Gratha and chew it apart in only a couple seconds
