Maybe one of them should be some sort of insect, like a wasp or something. Here is an idea, one of them (maybe the entity) should be some sort of dog/wolf thing. That could be a reason that the Kilrathi fear them so much.

I would think that "Aligned Peoples" means that the three races are aligned together, but that is just a guess.

Really to have prevented the war the Iason could have tried to contact the Kilrathi another way than with radiation. Then the Kilrathi High Command may have attempted to meet the Confederation, POSSIBLY averting the war.

Also there were people taking Angel away on a stretcher at the end of the movie. And Blair was screaming for a medic after there was a crack in the hangar door. So there has to be some sort of person with a medical degree.
