I noticed that on the ground missions in WC4, if you cut your engines to zero, you can still hang there in the air without crashing to the ground. Are fighters equipped with some sort of manuevering thrusters to keep them afloat?

You might try that glide wrapper that seems to work so well for Prohpecy. Glide looks so much nicer than Direct 3D in Prophecy.

Well, just finished Wing 3, and that should satiate my WC3 craze for some time. Now....what to play next. This particular WC marathon has had no chronological order, so I think I will play through the original WC again. Just to spice things up a bit, I think I will put the Wing Commander movie...

I am in the minority as well, I guess. I will admit that I was kinda disappointed that Roberts used the same engine for WC4, but it was refined. It did look better, better explosions, etc. The video sequences were just so cool. I think that Wing 4 turned out to be the game that Roberts wanted...

You still need to get landing clearance first. I figured out that a skipper missile destroyed the Victory after I had won the mission. I am past that now.

Oopsie, I did not notice that the corvette was shooting skipper missiles. Never mind. hee hee.

I am having problems with the mission where you escort the Victory to the jump point. After Rollins screams that the jump point is gone, I mop up all the fighters and the carrier, I get the "mission objectives accomplished" message, and then the Victory blows up. Am I doing something wrong?
