I was playing WC2 today, and since I`m a bit out of practice, I got shot to pieces in one of the missions. Goes something like this: Shields failing, armor chewed out, fuel tanks hit, accl absorbers hit, ejection warning light appears, the ship explodes... and my computer shuts down! :D...

In WCP and SO, when flying a Devastator, I use only the Plasma cannon. The Tachion gun on that ship is next to useless. Now if it had a Dust cannon instead, now that would be a totally different story. As for guns I dislike, one particularly pops into my mind - the Cloudburst. Can`t stand...

Yes, that is the sort of thing I do, but I`ve also done some editing as you may recall. my only gripe about the music in the music section, is the fact that no one took the time to edit these tracks and even give them a decent fadeout. They just play, get to the end, loop to the beginning...

Re: Re: OK The truth is, it doesn`t sound much better than the SB midi output. I have a GM compliant sound card (a Roland Sound Canvas, to be exact), and I couldn`t get any decent music out of it.

There is Pure DOS-mode in WinME, it`s just a little tricky to get it. I myself don`t know how, since I still use win98, but if you try any tech forum, I`m sure they`ll be happy to help you out with it. http://www.virtualdr.com/ comes to mind at the moment.

Not always. WC1/2 music (from KS) was originally at 22.05 KHz, but when I resampled it to 44.1, there wasn`t any significant change in quality, not that it really matters, since the sound quality was pretty good at 22.05 anyway. Encoding the mp3s at 128 kbps, rather than 64 or 32 makes much...
