Hellcat would have worked against Thrakhath, who would have easily eliminated Angel and her wingmen, for we all know that no-one but Blair (and maybe Todd the Great ;) ) was a real threat for his Highness. The base itself was not a diffcult target, the Prince - was.

Yet against Thrakhath Hellcat would still be better choice than Sabre, of that I am sure. The Epee would be just too weak, the Thunder - just too slow (not mentioning the Longbow). Arrow would be nice, maybe... But Hellcat still seems to me the best in THAT situation. Blow the fighters, kill the...

And what would Exeter's weaponry then? If Ralari is THAT DEADLY... Sure thing that old trusty Exeter would have something more than it's four turrets and the same single IR launcher?

But still... What would be Ralari's armament? I mean the in-game Ralari, not the in-film one. Definitely in-film 'Claw wouldn't have troubles defeating any capship head-to-head. But.. Speaking of WC1... When in SM2 we do escort Fralthi to the 'Claw, and we meet the other Fralthi, and two...

By the way... What would be Ralari's armament? What threat could it be to the 'Claw? We all remeber Halcyen's words: "Good, we can't afford such a firepower near us...".

It can not be Ralari... Ralatha, maybe, but in no way it can be the Ralari - they never show up in WC2.

Hellcat would be better than Rapier. Better shields, more up-to-date cannons, ITTS, too ... :) And I'd NEVER take Epee against Thrakhath! He's an ace after all, and you can't be THAT EVASIVE to never get hit.

All the WC2 ships had no endurance - except the Broad and the Ferret. But amongst all those paper armor ships the Sabre was the best - it had adequate shields, nice enough guns, and its speed and agility were good enough. So... Please stop kicking the poor Sabre. It ain't anything bad - just...

The fuel question, yes... It makes sense. The bomber which can not jump home... It'd be awful. But the salvo? The film (though I can't say I like it in any way) shows us the salvo attack, doesn't it? Or were there "the other models" of Broadsword?

Talking of "easier" or "harder" would WC2 be with or without torpedoe salvo... Had Broadsword an afterburner - it wouldn't need a salvo mode. But the way it is - the big slow target Ralatha would blow in pieces with her main gun - it needs salvo mode very much (opposed to Sabre, which is fast...

A pity, though, that we couldn't fly Ferrets in Unknown Enemy in real missions, but BW Epee were nice enough. Long range cannons combined with stormfire make it very deadly. P.S. Anyone has Hornet model for WCSO ?....

The style differs, you know... When fighting AI enemy - I am arrogant and really less than adequate dogfighter. Burn towards enemy, shoot from flanks and tail, and repeat it again and again. Looks like I can't have respect for AI :) When fighting my friend (he's flying Phantom, me flying...
