Is it possible to install it on a USB key, because in XP, it's like a hard drive. I know there is something you can do to boot from a USB key, but I don't know if it works in Dos mode.

Maybe it's caused by the new "feature" in xp with that weird autorun thing. Just make sure you wait until the CD is initialized. (a few seconds) Because sometimes it can cause problems with games when you it enter too fast. The game will think there is no cd in the tray or just crash.

Yes, you can burn almost any mpeg with nero with the vcd option. As long as the ratio is good. (I think it's 320x240 ) . Nero will tell you if the movie doesn't have the right ratio, codec or anything else.

I don't think you need more codecs or need to convert them first. It should work by converting them directly from DivX to VCD in the program itself (Avi to Vcd). I tried one episode and it worked fine for me. Tmpgenc is available at: www.tmpgenc.com
