    Milk Run...

Well said. Few of the soldiers I know like politicians in any way. Come to think of it, not all of the civilians I know do either...

    Milk Run...

Quarto's overreacting again. Quarto, look at WC4. Are the politicians portrayed in a very good light in the game? No, they are generally shown as pandering idiots, eager to swallow whatever they think might get them more camera time. It is the same way in Forstchen's books. He portrays...

    Cobra as traitor...

HOBBES was loyal to Confed, but Hobbes was a construct; he was a separate personality overlaid on top of Ralgha's. Hobbes and Ralgha were really two different people. Ralgha was loyal only to the Emperor. Confed was his enemy. Once the trigger was sent, Hobbes ceased to exist. Hobbes was...

    WCP Nitpicking

Let's be thankful Blair is dead, so he cannot sink to such a level.

what prophecy/secret ops fighters can fly in atmosphere?

Think of the Cobra as the air equivalent of the "sit and kick" maneuver in WC. You are effectively stopping, in order to reduce your turn radius to near zero, making it much easier to line up the opponent for a shot.

what prophecy/secret ops fighters can fly in atmosphere?

The AIM-120 AMRAAM or "Slammer" is a fire and forget missile. The one that rides the shooter's radar beam to the target is the AIM-7 Sparrow missile, which misses much more easily than the AIM-120. The Cobra maneuver is also quite useful in a dogfight. In case nobody remembers, there was...

    Read this shit!

Guys, I realize it's hard, but eventually you have to realize that nothing lasts forever. You can still dream, but don't get your heart set on it.

    movie question

So where the blazes did this idea come around that Blair is not the hero, Tolwyn is, just because Tolwyn got some things right, and didn't like Blair?

    movie question

Just because Tolwyn is an jerk to Blair does not make Tolwyn the hero. So he treated Bear well, that just shows he was capricious, which we saw quite well in WCIV. He was like MacArthur, like Bandit said. There were those who thought he was God's gift to the world, and those who hated his...

    Space warship architecture

You are thinking of two-dimensional naval warfare. In spite of the naval parallels that are drawn in WC, space warfare would be quite a lot different.

Well, Nap, that is pretty straightforward, as I have not heard of any in between state. If anybody has, let me know.

Something I noticed in wcp intro

As for Blair putting forward the suggestion to name the Midway after the love of his life: that sounds rather too sentimental and small-minded for him.

    Space warship architecture

Just a few thoughts on capships. There is a good deal of discussion in the WC universe about the big ships like the Vesuvius class and the Midway class, as being too big. I don't remember where this came up, but I believe it is somewhere. Also, somebody mentioned in a previous thread the...

    Wing Commander III boring?

He was using a shortened version of your name to address you. He was not referring to a pilot in WC.
