You can fly a Longbow againts the Dreadnought. However, you wouldn't need to strafe the ship to get the shields down for the torpedoes. The torpedoes are able to go through the phase shielding. That's why it takes so long to lock the torpedoes.

They didn't destroy it. They damaged it.

Unless you cheat, and put invincible mode on. :)

Yeah, WCIV for PSX has a lot of the movies cut out. That's why you need to go for the PC version.
