I just wondered what people's greatest moments playing Wing Commander games were. I guess I'll start off with a short list of my own (in no particular order): 1)Seeing WC1's amazing graphics for the first time. 2)Blowing up Jazz 3)Using the Mace on the Mandarin starbase 4)Seeing WC...

Now, if they made the mouse control an option, that would be okay (although I doubt I would use it).

It would also be cool if there was a competitive game style, like Armada with multiple people on each side. That would be fun.

Yeah, I suppose the command system would break down in a co-op game. Of course, it wouldn't be much different for me, as I always order "Break and attack" at the beginning of every engagement anyway. On the rare occasions that I do order my wingmen back to my wing, they almost always say they...

One of my friends has one of those "radio" keyboards (or whatever they're called). So, he can type on his computer from across the room (further, actually). Of course, they're probably more expensive.

None of my wingmen ever seemed to be very good, but the more good guys the better. If nothing else, they keep the bad guys off of you, making your job much easier. If only we had a co-op campaign option in the Wing Commander games. Maybe in the next game.

I always fly with full guns, except in the Devastator. Then I vary between the two, depending on my target. What's the projectile-firing gun again? Is it the Cloudburst?

Well, I would pay 50 for it, but that's just because I like the game. I played it the first time without any 3d support and it ran fine (and looked very good). I think it's very enjoyable, and although it doesn't have as involved of a story as some of the other WC games, the space flight...

I liked the WC1 Raptor way more. I was actually kind of dissapointed when I moved up to the Rapier. For one thing, as I tend to do my shooting at close range, the Rapier's lasers didn't do much for me. Now Mass Drivers and Neutrons were much more fun!

I hope so...

I think that starbase mission was just to show off how cool the Mace was. One shot-BOOM!!! I thought that was kind of neat.

Ladiesman^: This land you are speaking of sounds much like Europe, the mythical homeland of many of our ancestors. It is not known whether this place truly exists (or ever did), but there is indeed a great treasure of folklore in regards to it. If nothing else, it makes good reading.

Well, all I can say is no self-respecting privateer type would let a mouse-controlled autopilot-like system control his/her ship. It just wouldn't seem right! I guess we could pretend the pilot is using a joystick, even if we poor, earthbound gamers will be stuck using a mouse. Oh well.

Yeah, he did a little bit, but then there weren't many Blair/Maniac scenes in the game. Maybe they got a long great?

I heard the mouse rumor too, and I hope they change their minds about it. Sure, make it an option, but a flight sim without a joystick just isn't right.

Does anyone here use something besides the Centurion as their primary ship? Just curious. I personally get the Centurion as soon as possible, as it is far better than anything else for space combat.

For Confed ships, use battles from human history. Many of the ships in WC are already named after battles, but there are many more battles to choose from.

But you could hardly blame Maniac for that. I knew that Minx girl was up to no good from the first!
