What's wrong with DOSBOX. Whatever you mean by packaging it for a newer OS, it would be lots and lots of work. EA probably even doesn't have the sources anymore nor would they compile or run natively in windows.

Pedro, you know that you can adjust the brightness of th eblue background in WC3, do you? Because if it is a bright navy blue you either did not calibrate it right or your screen is extremely off color.

Ah, don't forget Privateer 2 ... That is the WC game to revisit the least ;-) But I wholeheartly agree. That whole open univese thing also didn't do much for me, I am also more the storyline guy. And even in sandboxish games IMHO there are better ones then Privateer. Its ok, never mind, but ...

Ah. Its been ages I played WC2 and even longer that I played it without a HOTAS setup that had the key hidden from me. I noticed the 'glitch' when I tried to find out the heading of the capship in order to get the right side for the torpedo run.

There is a trick that makes bombing even easier. Normally in order to gain a lock you are at the border of the flak distance. However, if you press the key to cycle through the available ships (F12 ?) until you get the capship and then press F1 you can gain it into your target rectangle and...

I also seem to miss her regularly. You have to go on the missions in Speradon (pick Hawk) and choose to steal them in order for them to be available. Dunno why, but even if I go there I usually pick the other two missions (get Starburst/Coneburst and get Mace) over the Bearcat one. Must be...

I really hope its more of a monetary loss then a farming to regain all equipment however . One of the things I hated in Jumpgate. Ok, I died, so thats 10% loss. ok... What - I have space to go to the space I just dies in to get that best radar again? Where the pirates are still waiting? Ugh...

Mesons is far the best bang for your Buck as far as guns go. Wehther you prefer Tachyons or Plasma is a matter of taste. I usually do better with Plasmas or even mixed, but your fighting style might differ.

Too bad this one won't reach the amount needed for full 45 minutes :-(

Well - was that going? If you can't outgun them, outrun them... So in PVP at least the fastest ship will always at least get away. And probably be able to play tag in the hands of a superior pilot.

From my experience with Jumgate it might even be so that the most powerful ship on paper will no tbe the most dominant dogfighter. Good fighter pilots soon figured out that speed was more important then shields or pure weapon strength. And so the in theory weakest ship became the PvP monster...

Hmmm... ok... thanks for clarifying. Seems like a problem, all right. But also like a very stupid solution. Trading ships should be possible in game and also handing down ships multiple times. If only for in universe logic. But interesting that people are buying limited ships or insured ones...

Can someone summarize what the whole deal with the grey market was? Gifting ships, melting them, rebuing, ...? I don't remotly have the tim eto keep up with all SC stuff at this point.

The ITTS is far from perfect. It only indicates the best point to shoot now, but not the best point where the target is about to eavde at this moment. Sometimes I even deactivate it at all..

Slightly confused with this new campaign. So for $20 one gets the whole 45 minutes of music now? On KS one only got 15 minutes at that level and there was a higher tier for more music, wasn't it?
