    Actually, the engine trails look a little bit funky now, like they're not positioned correctly on the model... they seem to be causing some odd clipping problems with the back of the fighters... The models themselves still look wicked sick, though. :p

    And, of course, Wing Commander Saga could very well kick off a revitalization of the WC-style space sim, and they're using a wild and wooly mix of models from all eras.

    As a side note, I somewhat suspect the Panther and Vampire in Wing Commander Prophecy use some of the tech from the Dragon. They don't have the full anti-matter power plant (probably due to price constraints), but they do have moving sections on the hull and their intakes do look like those from...

    If I recall correctly, the doc on the planet said the nanoprobes are only active for so long (or that's the implication, at least.) It makes sense, given how tiny they'd be... they couldn't have that much of an energy reserve...

    Best Looking Fighter

    Gotta say my favorite looking fighter of all time would be the Sabre, followed by the Rapier, then the Broadsword. Really, WC2 ship designs > all. I wish WC3 had been around during the era where the technology existed to make those ships look decent in-game. :(

    For some reason, my Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback 2 won't firm up when playing Wing Commander Prophecy (or X-Wing Alliance, for that matter.) I've confirmed that the joystick does in fact function properly... it's just not fuctioning properly in somewhat older games. Am I fooked, or can...

    Engine trails look fine to be, comparable with EVE's trails (and not nearly as stupidly long too.)
