    They're already starting to mod spore. They've made a spore 3d model viewer here http://www.customsims3.com/forum1/wbin/SpViewDL.html So there is some hope that we could use spore as a 3d spaceship model editor. Or as a tool to make cutscene movies, for example.

    I'd suspect all their gaming code is written in C/C++ with possibly bits of assembly. It shouldn't be a problem for the community here to at least understand what we've got once it's released.

    Flight Commander uses display lists instead of sending each triangle. If the performance of Flight Commander and Standoff is similar, I would guess it points to a driver or Wine issue, not a standoff problem.

    Do you guys realize what is on this cd? What looks to be most of the original 3d models for WC2! I was even able to look at, in full 3d glory, the WC2 briefing room, bridge, hangar, 95 % of which have textures!!! And of course plenty of ships
