When was SWC for mac released? What kind of mac system is needed to play it? Are graphics better than (and gameplay at least as good as) WC1 on PC so that it's worth to try to get an appropriate mac system and SWC? Are more WC titles (or other great games) available for mac?

If I had the choice, I would prefer to have these start sequences and begin the *controllable* flight in space (just like it is in Privateer)

Does anyone know why it was not included in the PC version? Furthermore, the are nice takeoff sequences included in the 3DO version, why were those not included in the PC version?

Do you think chances are good that they will be translated (soon)? Were all other novels translated to german? The last german novel I found was "Heart of the Tiger", but I didn't find a german translation of "The Price of Freedom":(, so I bought the english one.

One reason why the german versions of WC1/2 are harder to find could be that by the time they came out the german version was released so much later that they did not sell very well because most people who knew about WC bought the english version and were not willing to buy the german version...

Does anyone know if False Colors and Pilgrim Stars have been translated to german or (if not) where is a good place in Germany to order the english ones?

If I remember it correctly, it has something to do with how far away you are from the pirate vessels, you must not be too close or too far away. Is this really the FIRST mission? Listen to the briefing again, perhaps you did miss something...
