I agree, although I havent heard anyone say that. In fact I dont know how anyone can say stuff like that. Space games dont look as good as good CGI like SW Episode 1-3, and even that could still be better.
Prohecy had more samey missions than Wc3 or Wc4. Wc4 I seem to remember having the most varied missions... (cant comment on 1 or 2 as I never played em)
I dont understand why some people have such a problem watching letterbox films on a normal TV. For me it makes it seem more cinematic, and thats even if they are superwidescreen some DVDs have . I have X-Files DVDs that only started releasing in widescreen (if I remember correctly) in Season 5...
That just means they will put some pop songs in it like britney, perhaps even some hip hop and they will set it in a college. You will get lines like thus "like... like oh my gawd, John Luc is soooo hoawt"

I think developers are afraid to alienate what they (might) percieve as two different types of gamers being forced to play part of the game they dont want to play IE. a Quake/HL fan that doesnt like space sim, and so not buy the product based on that.
The absolute hardest part of the holodeck would be the AI, second hardest would be realistic movement. I cant wait for the sex industry to get involved though, that would help the technology :D

I did suggest HL2 character animations. That could possibily work, but its finding someone amazingly good at creating that I think that would be hard :) Still, I think it would be great if that were to happen.
