Use the savegame editor posted in the Files section of CIC, and convert your character back to the Vega Campaign (I think SM1 works too) then the import should work properly.

Judging by the lack of cast names on the previously posted poster, I'd guess that was just a teaser, and this one coincided with the actual release. Other theory: Different French territories.
