HISTORY
For the first two decades of the Terran-Kilrathi War, a force of roughly two thousand Fralthi formed the reliable backbone of the Kilrathi fleet. The cruiser's bloody heritage, however, stretches back all the way to 2504 -- when they initially premiered during a series of violent inter-clan civil wars.
In 2654, the Empire premiered a modern revision of the Fralthi -- capable of being configured as a cruiser or a light carrier. The new Fralthi were first identified during a raid on the McLaren System. 1st Lt. Tanaka Mariko and Capt. Joseph Khumalo, flying off the TCS Tiger's Claw, engaged and destroyed the first example during a reconnaissance mission in the Pord Hedland system. Commodore Christopher Blair is credited with four confirmed Fralthi kills while flying off the TCS Tiger's Claw (including two during the Vega Campaign and two during Operation Thor's Hammer).
The Terran Confederation received an intact Fralthi light carrier in 2655, when Khantahr Ralgha nar Hhallas defected at Firekka, bringing with him the KIS Ras Nik'hra.
Notable Fralthi include the KIS Kraj'nishk, which attempted to prevent the KIS Ras Nik'hra from defecting. Capt. Ian St. John, a Rapier II pilot flying off the TCS Tiger's Claw, engaged and destroyed the Kraj'nishk.
The Fralthi was replaced on the production lines by the more modern Fralthi II-class cruiser.
