The being said, it probably won't fix the crash but it will give you hd movies support that should be more stable and work with modern windows. I'll take a look at your save game too, see if I can repeat the issue.
 
I guess it's worth noting that, at the time of writing, I have:
  • Intel Core i5-4690K CPU
  • 16 GB of RAM
  • NVidia GeForce GTX 970 GPU with 4096 MB of VRAM
I don't know if that's really enough, but if it is, I don't see why the game crashes whenever I try to play a mission with a Leviathan.

I tried installing the new version of WCP Unlimited onto my GOG copy of WCP (installed via Heroic), but the game just asked me to insert CD 3. Aside from that, the MUP seems to come with WCP Unlimited.

The crash is being caused by the wild weasel panther. Go to the SHIPS folder and delete/rename PANTHEWW.iff to something else.
 
Actually, I recall a previous Discord conversation with @DefianceIndustries I provided a fixed version, but I don't think there's been any new packages since. Try this.

Oh and if you do another WCP stream, try the new unlimited with the high def movies. I'd love to see it working elsewhere! The latest B6.1 dll should not give you an Insert CD pop up if you've replaced the Prophecy.exe (unless someone actually uses a CD installed version). Though if you have MUP, replacing the dll only will work.
