Wing Commander IV in WIN2K

I just got this double-sided DVD from one of my friends at work. I installed it and it gave me the following error: "VirtualProtect() failed." I was wondering if anyone has found a fix for this because I have never played it and want to try it out. I am very good with computers and tried it under "Windows 95 Compatability" and still get that error. If anyone knows how I can get this game to work in my WIN2K SP2 box , I would greatly appreciate it... Thx

Try posting this in the Tech Support foruns of this chat zone... And take a look arouind, while there, someone probably had the same problem as you before, that may help;

I'll cut and paste this post and put it in tech support forum. Maybe someone can help me. I want to try the game without building another computer to put WIN95 on.
