Wing Commander III Flightstick Recommendations?

Hey all,

Just ended up with my first Win 98 tower after years of enjoying the WC Series thanks to the GOG releases. I'm ready to jump into Wing 3 but my USB Flightstick I've been using on my Win 10 machine isn't gonna cut it. What would be the dream setup to play Heart Of The Tiger with back in the mid 90's when it comes to Game Port Flightsticks? I'm hoping to live the ideal fantasy with this setup. Thanks!

If you're looking for vintage equipment, anything Thrustmaster was the creme de la creme for flight games at the time.

For most of the DOS games I go with a Thrustmaster F-22 Pro stick and F-16 TQS throttle. The F-22 Pro (1996) is the final evolution of Thrustmaster's F-16 FLCS line of sticks that started in 1994 and was top of the line when WC3 shipped. The DOS version of Wing Commander III won't support the actual throttle on the TQS but it will let you use all the programmable buttons. I prefer the F-22 to the original FLCS because it has a much higher build quality and is very, very tight. If you're looking to show off, there's an extremely rare limited edition of the FLCS out there too that has an all metal base and a gold plaque!

(If you want to complete the setup and be the master of any mid-90s flight game, add a Thrustmaster RCS for your feet!)

Thanks Loaf! Appreciate you pointing me in the right direction! That's exactly what I was looking for, but had no idea how to find it!
