Wing Commander 1 On The Nintendo DS!

supercard makes the dstwo cart for the ds2 which has a built in cpu itself. using this you can get ds2x86 and clear up the performance problems... it's still in alpha though so it's a little buggy

it actually shows a shot of WC2 on the homepage, right after the Alone in the dark screenshot.

A bit off topic, but original Infogrames Alone In The Dark is the game I've played most apart from Wing Commander. Still awesome.

I personally own a dstwo cart and i've also owned a r4i card... the dstwo is much better, haven't tried the ex4i though. ds2x86 is still early in it's development and doesn't support all the 286 functions that dsx86 does but ds2x86 supports a LIMITED number of 386 functions at the moment though and audio is limited to 8 bit sound blaster at best.... but what does wc1 use anyway? The SEGA CD version is prob the best ver though... excluding gameplay...

I'm always impressed that these projects *exist*, but does anyone ever actually use them to play the games? For Wing Commander, at least, stuffing the PC control scheme through my iPhone or my DS seems like it wouldn't be a great experience compared to just playing the emulated SNES port on the PSP.

in reference to loaf, no not really that I can tell... it really is a novelty the smallest formfactor for any pc game really worth anyone's time besides a umpc would be the pandora, and with the awesomeness that is the PS Vita coming out in Q4, ION2 and soon to be apu powered netbooks I dont see the worth in the pandora and as for the ds being a platform for wc games it's just like playing on my pc with my old gravis gamepad
