who is the worst comm officer ?????

I'm pretty sure that neither VS, or CM came with full and detailed (although not that much helpfull) walkthroughs for each mission (including the sim missions), long biographies (2/3 full pages) for some of the characters, and few 1 page bios on the new or less important chrs, detailed descriptions and stats for each ship (Confed/Kilrathi/Nephilim) and weapon, tons of useless tactics for general combat, very short bios and capabilities of all the wingman you'll ever fly with, and some cool concept art.

Well, when I said info, I didn't mean all that. It's just that...

"You ought to at least know his name."

You don't see the name of the comm officer from the Victory in the VS (what was his name? Rolins? nah...:)), now do you?

Or maybe that's just my copy.:)

No you don't but you do get introduced to him in the game and are given his name, you dont get that with anderson. BTW Anderson remindes me alot of Naismith, am I the only one?

What? What ship, as far as I know there won't be a confed ship for like 300 some odd years, so how can you be anything aboard one and If it isn't a confed ship then why do you need a comm specialist as apposed to a radio and a satalite phone?

4.123106 ending was a bit weird... how blair went to all that trouble just so he can have a planet of fit birds.
scratch that its not weird, id do the same.
on a different note, does anybody (from england) know where the hell i can get a copy of kilrathi saga? i gave up on wc 1 and 2 since they have stopped being made and my pc is waaaay too quick (we r talkin 800 mhz here)

about the comm officers... naismith really annoyed me, i wish i could find the comm area on the lexington and torpedo his face off. rollins was cool. anderson was just boring boring boring. and it really pissed me off when he sed "your mission is a failure." as if it was my fault. most of the time i just blame maniac. what do u guys think of major marshall?

Maniac is good, as long he doesn't kill me !!! In Super Wing Commander he used to do that a lot when he was flying behind me and we had the same target. He doesn't mind shooting at me, but hear him when you fire at him !!

ahh that was the great thing about wc1, you could terminate your wingman if you so desired. prime candidates for me were maniac and hunter. maniac cos hes a fool, and in wc1 was crap. hunter because he thinks hes the man (well, so does maniac)
knight used to get it fairly often too, but thats more cos he was crap than me shooting him.
my pilots used to crash into tigers claw quite often too. fools.

That's a bug to: Your wingman follow orders to good. Never say "Form on my wing" near a astriod, or try to make a flyby. Those folls never mind to collide with them. And i hate it when you make a sharp turn (in formation), and they collide with you. The sound of your shields getting a puch is o irritating.

thats another reason why i usually kill them. they are more dangerous to me than the cats. how do u get through a minefield, except by using afterburner?

Primate was also a good wingman. And something i also hate: when they steal your kill. You about to finish one, and they do it for you...

thats another action which warrants death by friendly fire, esp if its maniac. but the best one is getting stuck between two cap ships in wc2. i just get annihilated by the phase transit cannon by accident. sometimes it happens to wingmen too hehehe

Speaking of cap-Ships, the cerberus also like to fire on friendly's. It's not the first time that that plasma sucker got me. And the Cerberus is also touchy: The fire at it by mistake, and they think you're a traitor.
