Which versions of privateer let you rescue Kilrathi pilots?

someone mentioned, on another thread, the possibility of rescuing ejected kilrathi pilots as a mission in Privateer. And at least one of the privateer remakes has that feature.

But I've never been able to get that to occur in the original DOS privateer I've been playing.

Have I just not been doing it right, or do only certain versions of privateer have that mission type available?

does anyone know which versions do or do not have the option?

It's possible the Priv. Remake crew threw that in (not to be confused with Gemini Gold), but for obvious reasons that wouldn't be considered official in any fashion.
 
I've played both and never really seen it.

... that said I don't really play the rescue missions. They don't pay enough.
