What would you ask?

You're worried about your memory.

The no-ship in Heretics has Griffins all over the place, the Prelude to Dune books clearly state Griffin, and even in that miniseries they say the Harkonnens' symbol is the Griffin.

Take your gingko, man. :)

Impossible! I am not that old, after all...

Ok, first of all in the PC games, the Harkonnen sign is the ram. OK, PC games are not good for canon. But in the novel "Dune" I am pretty sure (I am damn sure or I really have to take gingko) how they describe the Harkonnen ram. I don't know where the book is at the moment but I'll look for it and try to shed some light on this.

A griffin is a much too noble creature for the evil Harkonnen. :)

The German book? Number one? Dune...the desert planet or how it ever calls? I could look for you. I read it at the moment. :)

I don't think they describe a Harkonnen Ram... an Atreides bull, certainly -- the ram would just be confusing :)

Maybe, but...

Heretics, page 221:

"The access tube... was decorated with Harkonnen griffins on walls and ceilings."

And then there was the porno clock, but that's besides the point. :)

Oh, and in the miniseries, Paul says something like, "..that confused and ugly chimera, the griffin..." when talking abut the Harkonnens. I know, the miniseries is as reliable as your game, but still...

That'd be nice, I can't find that damn book! :)

Although, it's quite pathetic if I can't even prove my own statements of which I am so sure... *g* :(

The ram is only in the games, in the books is a griffin.
The Harkonnens don´t need a noble animal....only a worm :)
and why in the games the hawk is blue and the ram is red and in the books the hawk is red and the griffin is blue ????

 My world is shattered (maybe not totally but it got a real blow <g> ).

I always liked the Harkonnen ram from the games, even so much that I seem to remember to have read it in the novel.

Poor me :( ...

There is no concordia mess... It's actually one of the least confusing 'problems' people seem to find.
