Doesn't matter, they still got the nukes. In fact, China and Russia recently ran a joint exercise, in which Russia nuked US troops.

yeah they got nukes but how many actually work? probably too many. anyway if they start saber rattling at you statsiders all you have to do is stop giving them money, that will shut them up.

Personally, I am in complete accord with Tolwyn... My opinions may be controlversial but I would neverhave had a problem about joining the Black Lance. I would have been ecsatic about it. I believe there's nothing like a major enemy to lift a nation to its zenith... The United States was the epitome of technical evolution during the COld War. 58 000 Americans died and we all did the duck and cover thing, but it was worth it. For 50 years the world stood still. If there were no nukes, war would have been inevitable.

In a candid letter to Stalin, Mao Tse Tung wrote in the late 40's that "give me the guns, I'll supply the people, together we'll overrun the USA". Stalin replied that ten years ago he would not have doubted a second the validty of the plan. but now he was frightened that hellfires may rain down on moscow before the first troops landed on American soil. I love nuclear weapons and nuclear power and I would die to defend them, because I'd surely have been dead if they were not here.

I agree that nuclear weapons are in fact a good thing, as long they don't actually get used. The fear that a nuke may hit you if you do something bad is great. Big weapons aren't a bad thing by any means. Using them is.

THe whole point of nukes is that You never use them. If I didn't believe that with every fibre of my being I'd never have written what I just did... I believe in things like bioweapons and nukes because they're just too inhumand and too frightening to use... And if we were to have only such wepons, noone would ever start a war again, because such a war noone would survive.

Albert Einstein said once something which still makes my back chill every time I hear it:

"I am not certain which weapons will be used to fight the Third World War. But one thing is certain. The Fourth War will be fought with stones."

That is, if after the fallout of nuclear meyham, if those stones arent all melted down into lava. Be hard to handle a hot rock! ;)Thing is, what if that has happend before? Like thousands of years ago or something?. Maybe it wasnt a large meteor that killed off Dino's ancient cousins! (just speculation)

I think Einstein knew alot more than he let others know, and he sort of reflected this in his statement. He may have very well knew of a way to travel in space by means other than what we use today. But I also think that he may have been influenced by the US Gov when he defected to the US. Sort of kept him on low key with what he knew. Its a shame if thats true. He was a great inspiration to the world.
