No, that would be much, much worse - WCP can't handle 50,000 asteroids. Hell, I doubt even something more modern like FS2 would have trouble with that many asteroids. I would recommend values between 2000 and 5000. And of course, for small asteroid belts, even less is fine - it's just when you're talking about 500 for 100,000 metres that it gets a bit extreme
