I really, really, very strongly dislike the idea of "Terran Confederation Archives" or anything along those lines. "Wing Commander Encyclopedia" or something like that is the way to go.
The thing about Terran Confederation Archives is that it suggests an in-universe viewpoint. Which is a bad thing. This encyclopedia absolutely should not be in-universe. It should be as in-depth as possible, going beyond in-universe. Describing a ship, it should include such information as what games it appeared in, and so on.
I mean, I love in-universe stuff. One of the most wonderful things about the WC series is that almost every game came with a biased, in-universe manual - heck, Armada had two biased in-universe manuals rolled into one. It was fantastic. However, the WC Wiki is supposed to be the great grand central encyclopedia of the WC community. It absolutely must not have an in-universe bias or perspective, because such devices always force you, sooner or later, to misinterpret, twist, and overlook pieces of information just to stay true to the chosen perpective.
There's already several websites out there in the community that provide WC-related information from an in-universe point of view - we don't need another one. What we do need, is a 100% reliable, absolutely unbiased base of information that the entire community (and hopefully future WC game developers, too) can draw upon.
