WCP Pascal Questions

You can make a ship visible at all navpoints by setting it to actionsphere 0. However, it is a very bad idea to do this for enemy ships. Friendly fighters will try to fly towards the enemy capship regardless of whether it's 50,000 metres away from you, or 5,000,000,000 metres. It will not occur to them to wait for you to activate autopilot.

Yeah Quarto I noticied that, all the bombers afterburn like crazy towards the far away ship seconds after arriving at the second nav, even to the point of ignoring the fighters I have spawning there.

All right well, what about using the AI_AddtoIgnoreList and the AI_Addtoattacklist commands to order the other ships in my flight to ignore the capships at the first and second nav's, and then have them add to their attack list at the third nav?

Also is there someway to use this to force bombers to target capital ships rather then the stupid way they are behaving now? (Clearing all fighters before proceeding on the capitals)

You can use those functions, only be careful if use AI_Attack or AI_AttackEnemies because both functions stop the function flow like a AI_Goto... function those also stop the function flow.

Just keep this thread going, don't wanna start another one...

Using the "TimerSet" and "GetTimer" and "TimerZero" commands I can set up a mission so that you fly to Nav 2 and cruise around for say, 2 minutes and then the next nav becomes active right? For that matter is there a way to display that second count down timer for the player to see?

Use timer function where you want, i.e. a Fralthi have 12 enemies and each one takeoff frm him each "X seconds".
There are not a way to show the timer count, now you could use SF_PrintText command to print screen texts, but that is over a "advanced lesson" :)
