Is there a WC4 (win95 ) that has different cocpits than the original for DOS ???

Im not talking about the Win95 patch you put to the original Wc4, but a Wc4 designed for Win95 and has different cocpits..
Anyone knows??

I don't think so but in WC4, you don't really see the cockpit b/c they went with the invisible view like in WC3... I never liked having the cockpit view on anyways....

I always prefer seeing the inside of the cockpit. Gives me more of a feeling of actually being part of the action.

I, too, liked having the cockpit views, and it was a shame there weren't any available; I would've loved to see what the inside of the Dragon looked like!

The windows version of WC4 is exactly the same as a patched install of the DOS version.

i jsut found the cockpit view a little annoying... i understand that it gives you more *feel* but i like to be able to see everything... plus i found the graphics for the cockpit kinda weak

I used to love flying with cockpits, and always thought that - given a choice, I'd leave the cockpits on. But when I did start WC3, I found myself going for the no-cockpit view, even though it looked very... plain. I play Strike Commander with cockpit on, but that's a bit different.

Nevertheless, in games where no-cockpits are not an option, it doesn't usually bother me, even in the ultra-cramped views of the Rapier II or the Tarsus.

In WCP/SO, I actually like using the "Persistant Gauges" option, even though some people might think it 'clutters' the view.

The cockpits in the WC4 FMV looked a bit dodgy, IMHO. The Hellcat 'dashboard' seen in the pilots' POV in the intro was so blocky and went up so high, if you were short like me, you wouldn't be able to see over it!

You do, in the opening scenes  (partially). Also, IIRC, you see (partially) a Hellcat's and a Banshee's.

Come to think of it, what WOULD the WC4 cockpits look like? Any ideas?

Well... I do believe that most air forces have certain height requirements, though I could be wrong.

Back to the topic.Im pretty sure I saw a couple of years ago a Wc4 with different cocpits....

not sure about this, but it MAY be possible to hack the wc3 .exe to run the wc4 missions/movies.... and you (might) get it to take new cockpits...... do I hear wc4 MAKEOVER? ;)

Erm... I don't think so.

No, you're right. :) Funny thing is - I think I mentioned this before - my friend was telling me how he'd be too tall to join the Air Force (helmet would probably bash against the glass), while I noted that I'd be (not surprisingly) too short. Life's like that.

One thing I didn't like about the Playstation versions of WC III and IV was that there weren't any Cockpit Frames

When I was talking about these "alternative" Wc4 cocpits,I was`nt saying Wc1/2/3 like cocpits but Wc4 like ones...emm no cocpits.....

P.S. I prefer Wc1/2/3 cocpits too..But WcP cocpits are also better than nothing (WC4)
