WC3 Final Mission

The novel was written *before* the game, based on the script -- because it takes a loooong time to get a book to the presses, and they sell best when released simultaneously.

Oh, that's interesting. I never even heard of the novels before I came here. But the WC4 novel was written after the game, right? That's the impression I got from what you said before.

It was actually written before... but Baen screwed up their publishing schedule, which significantly delayed it (OCZ veterans will remember this:))... allowing the authors to make edits.

Yeah I know about cloaking in the trench, but I guess I never tried to recloak in space. Thanks for letting me know. Still kinda fun though to pop out of nowhere and blast the heir to the Kilrathi throne :). Also, you don't get new missiles or fuel when you change settings. It is really annoying though, to have to reset power settings and guns whenever you are on a planet. Especially if there is a welcoming committee of about 10 Ekapshi.

That also happend in WCIV with going from orbit to planetside, the power settings would default! And there be a hord of ships and missle turrets letting loose at you! Then when you completed the mission and autopilot back to space, the settings would default again! When you jump into the Axius system in WCIV, the settings default again! Then the same happens when you jump back! Game bug?

I just happened to load up WC4 last night and played a few missions. That problem was one of the things I thought they had made provisions for. What I mean is that while the power still gets reset, at least I didn't have to fight anyone. It seemed like they added a dummy waypoint in just so you could reset your power settings. Maybe that was only in the missions I played (rescue the scientist and take pictures).

Also, w/ respect to WC3/4. Since I started playing 4 a day after 3 I noticed that the Longbows in 4 seems to turn a lot better than those in 3 - my imagination?
