How's that? If you go after Hobbes, Vaquero dies ok, but where? In space in a fighter or on board the Victory? I don't understand it doesn't make sense...Originally posted by Bandit LOAF
Well, Hobbes kills Vaquero...

Are you sure about that. I just played the game and my impression (from Eisens chewing out) was that the Victory was attacked while I was on my revenge jaunt and Vaquero was killed during that attack.Originally posted by Bandit LOAF

But the Kilrathi do attack the Victory while you're away -- that's where you meet Stalker for the first time (the non-repeating one).
Weird sense of logic in the WC developers' minds...Originally posted by Bandit LOAF
Yeah, if you don't go after Hobbes, Vaquero doesn't try to stop him either...

But why would you lose Vaquero? Because the Cats attacked the Victory while you were chasing down Hobbes? LOAF (or anyone who KNOWS this), can you explain?[/B]

Anyone who's played WC3 and can follow a plotline would KNOW that Vaquero gets killed in the attack on the Victory while you're away.

Hmm, I'm assuming that when you say "someone who KNOWS this" you are indicating that I wouldn't have a clue?? I wonder should I be offended

At least I think that's what Hobbie is getting at.

Ah I actually didn't read all the rest of the posts before I replied to that last one (a bad habit of mine). I was only referring to the game ... not having read the book. I didn't realise that the book claims Hobbes killed Vaquero. My apologies.
Another part where the novel comes in to confuse people!!
), but I'll just say this: it seems very weird that Vaquero's choice to hunt down Hobbes is linked to yours.
AHA! But so does Thrakhath!!Originally posted by Hobbie

.Nope!! You can cloak only once normally, after you decloak that's it!!Originally posted by Hobbie
Well you can recloak, if I remember. Rinse and repeat.

. Also, you don't get new missiles or fuel when you change settings. It is really annoying though, to have to reset power settings and guns whenever you are on a planet. Especially if there is a welcoming committee of about 10 Ekapshi.
