I've been panning through the old images of ships like the Concordia and other ships, and I have a hard time finding the weapons.

Because of the amount of images, we'll use the Concordia for example. The ship has 4 Flak Cannons and 8 Antimatter guns. The guns that can be seen on the Concordia (besides the PTC) does anyone know which they are? You can see the two dual turrets, one on each end of the runway on the Concordia, and two more dual turrets on thier own platforms further back on near the landing bay.
 
The 3D models/2D sprites from Wing Commander 2 don't really have many specific turrets visible - remember that the artwork was done months and months before the ship specifications were finalized (which happened when the game was being balanced). Your best best for figuring out 'where' various guns are is the little VDU images from the game... they (seem to) mark turrets in 'red'. Check out these ships2 indexes for that art:

Yeah the sprite models don't, but images like the fighter launch, and the Funeral scenes do show those massive dual turrets.

I believe it's actually the same 3D model- but they went back and added (untextured) circles along the sides to be the turrets (or... radar emplacements? Impossible to know.)
