There are no canon pictures of the Gettysburg unfortunately. The closest to it was in the TCS Austin, which was a scaled up Exeter. Hopefully Loaf, can fill us in.

Actually, it wasn't even scaled up - it literally was an Exeter. Either they didn't have a model for it, or they didn't have the disk space to waste on a ship that shows up for a whole five seconds. I think we can be fairly certain that Origin never intended the Austin to look like an Exeter - they just didn't have the need/time/space to make the Austin look the way they might have wanted.

(which, of course, doesn't change the fact that the use of the Exeter sprite is a good thing to follow for fans looking to make a Gettysburg, because it demonstrates that you're not using this as an excuse to make up some crazy-looking new model that doesn't fit in with the rest of the universe)

And, in any case, fits in with the Terran design ethic of the era.
 
The TCS Gettysburg appears in Special Operations 1 not Secret Missions 1 and you do get to see it. It’s a Waterloo class.

The situation you’re talking about sounds like the Kyoto which was in WC1. It was said to be a carrier in the briefing but was an Exeter in the game.

No, we're talking about the TCS Austin, which is Gettysburg-class (while the TCS Gettysburg is not).

You don't see the Kyoto anywhere in WC1.
 
name giving is sometimes very weird in wing commander:
there is a concordia, but it isn't concordia class, but confederation(actually, it's 2 concordia classes, right?)
there is a lexington, but it isn't lexington class either, and a gettysburg, which is waterloo class
i mean you sure can loose track in all that...

In Venice 2 when you're meeting the fighters from the Kyoto there is an Exeter waitning there as well. It's presumed to be the Kyoto.

Unless there is some kind of conspiracy to keep this particular ship out of all WC1 mission guides, there is no Exeter in Venice 2 - your memory's playing tricks on ya :).
