I'm not sure if this site has ever been linked before, but I stumbled upon ArtByPlunkett.com. He has great pictures of the (Guess What) Plunkett Cruiser, and a shot of a Hades Strike Carrier near a Superbase with another Plunkett and the Midway. These pictures are awesome! I would like to see more of the Plunkett, as in terms of looks is second only to the Ranger-Class.

Well they are interesting... And some video of the first picture is featured in his video here.

The second one looks like its in engine and the first is probably concept art (like that one that was posted not long ago of the wasps) so it may have been seen before... (but not by me)

Baltimore 2003? I can personally testify that moving from Austin to Baltimore is a terrible, terrible thing.

... but great find! It's neat to see that first shot. The second one has been around for a while... I remember Captain Johnny showing it to the gang on IRC before we had any idea what Secret Ops was going to be (new game? addon you buy? we didn't guess free internet event...).

Oh wow, thats really cool. I especially like the in-game rendered shot. Nice stuff.

Thats the Ellis Space Station isnt it? You see it also in WC4... was it not complete in Wing Commander 4 though? Cause it seemed like it was half the size. Oh yeah, great work though, those r awesome!

Yeah, that's the Ella Superbase model from Secret Ops. You're correct, the one used in Wing Commander IV was roughly half the size.

Of course, the question is: is it larger in Secret Ops because they expanded it... or did Blair blow it up and force them to rebuild it alltogether?

Oh man, I remember being so super excited by COOL3.jpg. Here's a (slightly) higher resolution version than what Mr. Plunkett has on his website.

I am also curious as to how you found it, since it isn't linked from anywhere, and he's only used it in his resume... He was very surprised (but pleased) when I pointed this post out to him.

Well, I'm glad he did. That new Plunkett shot is the most beautiful thing I've seen in a while. Is there anything else that might be sitting around, but not linked from the site?

Yeah, the model is spectacular. Is there a story behind it? I know Sean Murphy had said the Murphy-class model was something he'd been developing on his own that happened to fit into Secret Ops (which was originally going to use the same destroyer model as WC3 and 4).

Fatcat how the heck did you find the site?

I was looking for a good picture of the Plunkett for a wallpaper, and I just ran into it on Google, and i'm not hiding anything else. Sorry, Chris.

I was asking the people involved with maintaining the site.

Actually, there is a story behind it, but I forgot what he told me... I'll try to remember to ask him to post about it on Monday.
