I bought the Premiere Edition 2 weeks ago. Sadly the video wasn't included (at least the behind the scenes disc was). Now I read that there is an AVI rip out there. Is that true?

The behind the scenes disc is the video - except on disc (and with more footage and a higher quality video transfer)

Could someone encode the video to divx for the files section?

No - Why bother when you have the CD? The VHS transfer is supposedly pretty bad; much worse than the pixilated CD-ROM.

The resolution of the CD is worse than any NTSC to DivX transfer...

The VHS certainly looks nicer than the CD... but I think there's more important video to encode before we redo the making of segment.
