HCl has made a patch witch enable a mission coder to script the effect of a gun. In practice, it enables the mission coder to count the shots of a specified gun type. With good scripting, one could code something like (simplified for everyone's understanding):

if (Shot_by_specified_gun(self()) < Some_amount_of hits)
{
Stop_ship;
Set_alignement_to_neutral;
}

So, HCl called it a "leech gun patch", but in practice it enables a mission code to script a lot more than that. Let's say... a gun that turns an enemy friendly ? Or having a gun that's completely useless against most foes but one in petticular... things like this.

Have you made some WCP/SO missions yet ? Learning to make them should be your first step. If you haven't made some yet, I suggest you read the tutorials on UE's site, and use Thomas Bruckner's WCPPas.

Yeah, he's been busy. Only a few days till Lord of the Rings comes out and he heads down to Austin to check out Freelancer. I'm usually pretty busy with full time work and school.. but school just got out. Working six days a week now, but there's a bit more time without school.
