Thanks again to the dozens and dozens of dedicated fans that came out for another successful CIC birthday. It's very impressive how many people have come to ten or more such events. We're still recovering from the marathon Wing Commandering, and normal news will resume tomorrow. Forty-five front page updates set a record for birthday news, and most of the posts lead to galleries and features that should take hours to enjoy. Here's another nod to Dundradal as well for hosting simultaneous games of Prophecy Multiplayer and Wing Commander Arena during the event. It's also time to clean up and claim party prizes. A bunch of lucky and talented Wing Commander fans have won the items below. Collect your winnings by emailing us your name, IRC name and address. Haha, anyway I had a good time, the brief time I was on.
 
A well-deserved rest for everyone. And you're right, I'm still going through some of the videos, so no rush to resume normal business. (:
 
No rest for the weary indeed - you guys still have to publish a chat log for those of us who missed out on the party :).
 
If I may, here is my copy of the logs from the party. My local time is UTC+1000 (the time-stamps are fixed at 12-hour formatted local time), so the celebrations started at 09:00 and the front page updated at 10:00.

I also noticed that the last published logs, at least on the #wingnut page, is 2006. I have logs for 2008 and 2009.

Thanks, that's helpful. It's a different time zone for everyone, so your timestamps are as good as any. I have the logs for fifteen years of IRC archived, but I don't believe I cut out and formatted 2008 and 2009.

sorry i missed the party, from the looks of the home page, i missed an amazing time. i was in Newport RI on vacation, yes the hotel had free WIFI, however i couldnt bring my laptop...i did bring the psp and was plaing WCIV every free minute i had...

i am catching up now, and all the downloads look great...thanks again. and i promise not to miss next year...
 
Maybe we should have a once a month IRC WC event? Or a CIC "half-birthday" event?

#wingnut is far too quiet sometimes and talking WC with so many of you in realtime was a fun time. There are a few of us in there pretty often and always willing to talk about WC.

It would also be a nice way to get some MP WC games going (WCP, Arena, Armada, Proving Grounds). We had a great time playing WCP...and might of even inspired one fan to pick up where HCl left off....

Agreed. :D I have a soft spot for WCP:MP now.

In the mean time, then, here are the logs for 2008 and 2009.

I used a different client each year: the 2008 one I had to parse from XML format, and the 2009 one I got disconnected, so it only starts ten minutes before the official festivities (22:50 UTC).
 
Hahaha... first time in years I didn't win any prize in a CIC party. Well, I do have other duties and responsibilities as student, husband and father.
Besides, a few months ago I treated myself to buy a good condition boxed Wing Commander Prophecy including the WC Universe map... all for around 20USD.
