TCS Eagle?

According to my sources, when the Temblor Bomb was deployed in 2669, it was first deployed unsuccessfully by the TCS Eagle. Does anyone know what class of ship it was?

The Eagle is listed as an escort carrier in the CIC Encyclopedia, but does not specify if it is the same class as the Tarawa. Can someone clear this up for me? I realize the encyclopedia has its flaws so I'm not taking everything at face value.
 
If I'm remembering correctly the Eagle is a new class of light escort carrier designed specifically for the job. (Wake-Class CVEs were built on medium transport hulls).

It's class is never given. It's only mentioned in the WC3 novelization The Heart of the Tiger.

Also is there a need to say "according to my sources?" You aren't a journalist. :p
 
Especially because your sources are just the last thread where you asked about the t-bomb. :)

I think the Harrier-class CVEs referenced in Star*Soldier were supposed to be the class for the Eagle (hence the bird name)... but, of course, there's no way to prove that conclusively.
 
Well, okay, the threads were my so-called sources. My bad.

So, I guess we don't know the Eagle's class or even what it looks like, huh? It's a big universe out there, and we only know so much about it.
 
Right, it only shows up in the novel (and briefly). I believe Blair describes it as having sleek lines.
